ASO agent

Also known as: AI ASO agent, Autonomous ASO agent, Agentic ASO

Short definition

An ASO agent is AI software that runs App Store Optimization as an ongoing loop: it reads an app's rankings and competitors, makes or proposes listing changes, measures each change and uses the result to choose the next one.

Detailed

ASO tools report data and leave the changes to a person; ASO agencies and managers make the changes by hand on a weekly or monthly rhythm. An ASO agent does the repetitive part itself, every day and in every market it covers: keyword tracking per country, wording changes in the title, subtitle and keyword field, new listing languages, custom product pages and product page tests, and review replies. Because ASO results take weeks to settle, the useful agents measure each change after it has had time to work and keep only what improved rankings or conversion. Most keep a person in control with an approval step before anything reaches the store.

Example

A habit tracker's ASO agent sees that its German listing ranks 41st for 'gewohnheitstracker' and has no German keyword field. It proposes a German translation of the listing, the developer approves it, and 28 days later the agent reports that the app moved into the top ten for that search and plans the next change.
